Our Story
Tokere started with a specific frustration: carbon and climate-linked markets ran on self-reported data that no lender or auditor could stand behind. Our founders spent two decades operating in energy, biofuels, and carbon markets, and watched good projects fail for lack of verifiable proof.
Tokere is the infrastructure they wished existed: automated, audit-grade MRV that turns climate performance into data regulators and investors can trust. Tokenization sits on top of that verified layer, never ahead of it.

Meet The Team
Founder & CEO
Dr. Prafulla Agarwal
Prafulla leads Tokere's product and growth strategy. Over a career of more than two decades she has led business transformation, enterprise strategy, ESG programs, and technology adoption for leading global brands. She has a proven track record in conceptualizing and realizing out-of-the-box solutions for complex business needs and delivering noteworthy ROI for organizations
She holds a post-doctoral certificate in Business Transformation, an MBA in go-to-market strategy, and is a VESTED Certified Deal Architect from the University of Tennessee. Her work has been recognized with honors including "Global Outstanding Leadership," "Influential Woman Leader in the APAC region," and "Businesswoman of the Year."
Her operating principle: climate action should be a collective effort, and environmental progress should carry economic benefit so it moves faster.

Gaurav Shah
Gaurav brings nearly two decades in private investments across Silicon Valley, focused on renewable energy, biofuels, and frontier technologies. As a former partner at a San Francisco private equity firm, he led mergers, acquisitions, and exits across operating and distressed assets. He is also an investment committee and advisory member to multiple investment firms globally.
He advises decision-makers in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York on investments tied to US policy (the IRA, IIJA and OBBBA) and to the RIN, LCFS, and voluntary carbon markets.
He holds a master's in chemical engineering from USC, Los Angeles and is named on six US PTO and six PCT patents for biofuel technologies from waste feedstocks. He is a UK-certified independent director and a certified Global ESG Expert (London).
